Just two old cymbals, but I played with sticks, hands, mallets and dynamics. Same metal, different personalities.
12 distinct cymbal samples, designed to sit around your sound rather than
on top of it — perfect for ambient layers, LoFi and minimal compositions.
On the keyboard, the layout is intentionally simple and musical:
• The blue keys contain the 12 original cymbal samples
• The three octaves below are detuned versions at –12, –24, and –36 semitones
• The first octave above is tuned +12 semitones
• The top octave features one cymbal stretched across the range, tuned over one and a half octaves for more abstract, airy gestures.
All sounds are mapped across 5 octaves in total and can be shaped easily using the built-in HPF &LPF, a filter envelope, an amp envelope, a delay and a reverb, letting you move from barely-there-shimmer to evolving metallic clouds.
The library is free, and I’d genuinely love to hear how you use it.
If it ends up in a track, a sketch, or a quiet late-night experiment — let me know.
Remember: sometimes less source material means more character.
